Stamford & Oakham GTUK TaeKwon Do are part of the Bluecoat TaeKwon Do group run by Master Richard Auciello, 8th Degree Black Belt and are proud to be a member of the GTUK, which is run under the expert guidance and leadership of Grand Master Roy Oldham, 9th Degree Black Belt.
Bluecoat TaeKwon Do is a group with a long tradition. For us, it's not just about serious training: we love it when our students win medals, but we're just as enthusiastic about our
groups that simply meet because they enjoy TaeKwon Do. We are proud to have a number of pupils from the Stamford club who have also competed for England at both junior and senior
level. However is not only the physical successes that are important but also that of students whose lives have been improved through doing TaeKwon Do. He teaches students who suffer with
learning difficulties and one particular student who suffers with Asperger Syndrome, which is a form of autism. Graham Henson started TaeKwon Do hardly able to stand on one leg, and has managed
through careful instruction and determination to make it to Black belt. Graham was awarded Stamford’s student of the Year in 2003 and went on to be given a BBC East Midlands award for special
achievement in Dec 2005. He now trains with the GTUK England Squad.
We don't differentiate between our students. Anyone is welcome to join us. Our qualified Instructors are team members just like anyone else and will be happy to tell you more
about how TaeKwon Do can help you.
We're always happy to welcome new students, and suggest that you contact Master to discuss your FREE trial!

Master Auciello has been training since the age of 8, and was promoted in November 2022 to Senior Master 8th Degree in Coventry, making him one of the youngest Senior Masters in Europe! He has many titles, national and International medals to his name, but the most outstanding being his two Individual World Gold Medals, which he won in Italy 2000 and Coventry 2013. Master Auciello is also the current manager of the England squad and coaches. He was awarded the Lincolnshire Performance coach of the year 2005 in recognition of his own achievements and his dedication to his students both locally, nationally and internationally, and also the Rutland Coach of the Year in 2012 after his move into the county.
Master Auciello lives and breathes TaeKwon Do, and is like a living breathing TaeKwon Do wikipeadia of information. If Master Auciello does not know the answer - he will know exactly where to find it.....
Known as the Squadfather to the England Squad - he is the Dad of the club and is constantly looking at ways to move you the student forward!!!
Mr Mark Watkinson
4th Degree Black Belt
Stamford & Oakham Assistant Instructor
Mr Watkinson started training as a result of watching his eldest son do TaeKwon Do at the Stamford club, and having been bitten by the bug has gone on to many successes himself. With over 20 years experience and many National medals he continues to push himself training with the GTUK England squad as an assistant coach. Like Master Auciello, Mr Watkinson again lives and breathes TaeKwon Do and its a real passion in his household with all 3 Watkinson boys having achieved blackbelt.
Mr Watkinson is the clubs offical Assistant Instructor, and he is a real safe pair of hands in Master Auciello's absence. As a parent himself - he completely understands the clubs ethos ensuring that every students meets their own individual needs, and that not every students wants to be a World champion or train to peak fitness, but that some just want to increase confidence or be involved. Having suffered himself with a number of different injuries over the years, (not normally gained at training), he understands the needs of those who have to really persevere, and has a real gentleness with the students with particular needs.
You can easily recognise Mr Watkinsons soft dulcet Geordie tones at the club, and he is a real favourite of the students.
